My AutoSSL does not work

If you have purchased AutoSSL service with your package OR if your package comes with AutoSSL feature, you can refer to the below troubleshooting steps to check why your SSL is not getting issued/installed.

  1. The first step is to access your cPanel account.
  2. Then you have to click "SSL/TLS Status" shown under "SECURITY" section in your cPanel.
  3. Then you will be able to see the list of your domain names and their "Certificate Status".
    • If you see "The certificate will not renew via AutoSSL because it was not issued via AutoSSL." under the "Certificate Status", it means you have installed a defective/expired SSL that has not been issued by AutoSSL. Therefore, AutoSSL will not attempt to replace it. Therefore, you have to remove this defective/expired SSL manually from your cPanel
    • If you see a different issue, you have to refer to the error shown and resolve it.
  4. Once the issues have been resolved, click "Run AutoSSL" button appears on the top of "SSL/TLS Status" page.
