What is an addon domain and how to create an Addon Domain?

An Addon Domain

An addon domain is a fully functional domain that can be created from within your control panel. Think of it as having multiple hosting packages all sharing the same control panel. You can give them email addresses, forwarders, and more the same way you do for your main domain on the account.

The addon domain will appear as a totally separate domain from your primary domain. There should be no evidence that your domain is an addon domain to incoming traffic when they visit your addon domain.

Create an Addon Domain
Reminder: Your must point the nameservers of the new domain name to our server before creating an addon domain name.

To create a second domain name with its own website, please log into your cPanel first and then click "Domains" under Domains section;
  1. Click the "Create A New Domain" button
  2. Enter the domain name to add in the "Domain" text box
  3. Deselect the "Share document root (/home/username/public_html)” option.
  4. Enter the directory where you want the files for this domain to exist.
  5. Click the "Submit" button
Your new domain is now successfully added. You can upload the website files to the specific folder which was created in the public_html folder.
