How to create additional FTP accounts in cPanel?

An additional FTP accounts are helpful if you want to provide limited access for your developer or a third party to your files/directories.

You have to first login in to your cPanel, and start on the home screen.

  1. Click the FTP Accounts icon.
  2. To create a new FTP account, enter a new login and password.
  3. You can specify the document root that the new FTP user can access under Directory
  4. You can also set q Quota if required. This is the maximum upload limit.
  5. Then click Create FTP Account.

That's it! The new FTP account has been created. You can then change the FTP account's password, quota, or delete the account.
