A CSR or Certificate Signing request is a block of encrypted text that can be generated in order to issue a SSL certificate. A valid CSR is required to issue a SSL certificate to enable end-to-end data encryption to your website.
Additonally, it's also required to create an email for [email protected] ("yourdomain.com" should be replaced with your exact domain name that you want us to issue the SSL). Once it has been created, please make sure you can receive emails to the newly created address.
The following instructions are for cPanel 54. If you have a different version of cPanel, you will go through a similar process but you may need to submit a ticket to the technical support department for specific instructions.
1. Login to your cPanel control panel.
2. Please locate "Security" section and click "SSL/TLS".
3. Then you have to click "Generate, view, or delete SSL certificate signing requests." to generate your CSR.
4. Fill in the following fields;

- Key* - Do not change the default option (Generate a new 2,048 bit key.)
- Domains* - Enter the domain that you you want us to issue your SSL certificate. Plese enter only a single domain name without "www" prefix.
- City - Enter city in which your business is located.
- State - Enter state in which your business is located.
- Country - Select your country from the drop down menu, you can find your two-digit country code in the list ("LK" for Sri Lanka).
- Company - Enter the name of your organization/company.
- Company Division - Enter the department within the organization/company (frequently this entry will be listed as "IT," "Web Security," or is simply left blank).
- Email - Enter your email address where the your SSL will be sent after the issuarance.
- Pass Phrase - Please do not enter anything here and leave this field blank.
5. Click "Generate" button to generate your CSR. Your CSR will display in the window.
6. The CSR will display in the window.
