The Actions feature allows you to add a persistent button bar to the bottom of your website. This gives visitors quick access to actions such as making a booking, requesting a callback, submitting an enquiry, or getting in touch without having to search for a contact form.
When a visitor clicks an Action button, a form opens where they can provide the required information.
Available Options
The AI Website Builder provides several Action templates, including:
- Contact form
- Table reservation
- Appointment booking
- Newsletter signup
- Callback request
- Quote request
- Event registration
- Feedback form
- Waitlist
Creating an Action
You can create an Action from the Actions section in the Studio.
- Open the Actions section.
- Click Create Action.
- Select a template or start from scratch.
- Enter a name for the Action - This becomes the button label and form title.
- Add or adjust the required fields.
- Save the Action.
The button will then be added to your website.
Changes go live instantly. Unlike page edits, Actions don't require publishing. The moment you create, edit, activate, or deactivate an Action, it's reflected live on your site.
Managing Submissions
Submissions received through Actions are stored in the Actions section of the Studio.
You can manage your submissions by:
- Viewing submissions
- Filtering submissions by status
- Exporting submissions to CSV
- Deleting old submissions
Available submission statuses include:
- New
- Confirmed
- Completed
- Cancelled
Preventing Duplicate Submissions
You can configure limits to help prevent excessive or duplicate submissions.
For example, you can:
- Set a daily submission limit, such as a maximum of 20 reservations per day.
- Prevent the same email address from submitting more than once.
Example Use Cases
Actions can be used for different types of businesses.
| Business type | Suggested Action |
|---|---|
| Restaurant | Table reservation |
| Salon or clinic | Appointment booking |
| Contractor | Quote request |
| Event organiser | Event registration |
| Any business | Contact form or callback request |
For example, a restaurant can add a Book a Table Action, while a contractor can add a Request a Quote Action to make it easier for visitors to submit their requirements.
